Pondy Yacht Club is a destination for sailing and ocean lovers, based in Pondicherry, India. Run by a passionate couple, it aims to create a culture for water sports while being conscious of the environment.
They have been doing activities at their location on the Pondicherry dock for over two decades, and decided to make it official by establishing themselves as a branded destination. They approached us to design their logo, to mark this new beginning.
We created a logo inspired by a compass that directly relates with sailing. The coordinates give their location, making the logo unique and memorable. These elements, along with the name and website are made into a seal-like composition, extending the expertise and professionalism of their niche offering. A mood is created with the duotone palette of blue from the sky and sea paired with white from the clouds and the sea foam.
